Why Organisations Invite Rani

Technology has transformed how we live and work, yet many organisations are grappling with declining engagement, growing loneliness and a widespread hunger for connection. Today, only 20% of employees worldwide are engaged at work, while 1 in 5 employees globally report experiencing loneliness.

Research consistently shows that organisations with strong cultures of connection, belonging and wellbeing are more likely to attract and retain talent, foster innovation, strengthen collaboration and support high performance. Positive workplace cultures (whether in-person, hybrid or remote) don't just benefit individuals; they contribute to healthier, more resilient and more successful organisations.

Rani Sheilagh is an Irish cyberpsychologist (Msc, MPS), wellness and lifestyle futurist, speaker and author of Live Life Yummie.

Drawing on her expertise in cyberpsychology, wellbeing and human behaviour, Rani Sheilagh helps audiences understand how technology, culture and modern life are shaping the way we live, work and connect.

Combining research, storytelling and practical insights, her talks explore how people can thrive in a hyperconnected world by strengthening a sense of belonging, cultivating meaningful relationships and creating cultures where both people and organisations can flourish.

When Nobody Wanted to Leave

One of the most meaningful compliments I have ever received was not spoken.

It happened when nobody wanted to leave.

Although the evening celebrated the launch of Live Life Yummie, I designed it to be much more than a book launch. My intention was to create an experience centred around food, conversation, connection and community.

Long after the formal part of the evening had ended, people stayed.

They gathered around tables. They met new people. They exchanged stories and ideas. Conversations flowed naturally and the room remained full of warmth, curiosity and connection.

As a cyberpsychologist, I was fascinated by what was unfolding.

As someone who has spent years creating experiences, communities and conversations, I recognised something else.

When people feel welcome, present and connected, they do not rush for the exit.

They stay.

That simple idea continues to inspire much of my work today.

Whether through keynote talks, facilitated conversations or Yummietarian™ experiences, I create experiences that encourage people to slow down, engage more deeply and connect more meaningfully with one another.

The video captures a glimpse of that evening.
