Rani Sheilagh is an Irish-Indian writer, author, cyberpsychologist (MSc) and speaker drawing on decades of experience across wellness, entrepreneurship, communications, creativity and culture to explore how we live, connect and thrive in a changing world.
Hi, I’m Rani.
I'm an Irish-Indian writer, author, cyberpsychologist and speaker, and the author of Live Life Yummie: A Delicious Rebellion.
My work explores what it means to live fully and make meaning in a changing world, and how food, wellbeing, technology, culture and human connection shape the way we eat, live, work and thrive.
My own path has never followed a single straight line.
Drawing on a career spanning cyberpsychology, wellness, entrepreneurship, communications, creativity and culture, I bring together science, lived experience and curiosity to explore the everyday things that shape our experience of being human.
I believe food is a golden thread that connects us all. Around tables, across cultures and throughout our lives, food has a unique ability to bring people together, spark conversation, create memories and deepen our sense of connection.
As technology continues to transform modern life, I'm fascinated by the intersection of digital culture and human behaviour. How do we build healthier relationships with technology? How do we create more connection in an increasingly connected world? And how do we protect the simple pleasures, rituals and experiences that make life meaningful?
These are the questions that sit at the heart of my work.

What I Explore
I write and speak about pleasure, food, wellbeing, ritual, technology and human connection, and the everyday choices, experiences and stories through which we create meaningful lives.
Drawing on my background in cyberpsychology, mindfulness, wellness and human behaviour, I'm interested in how seemingly small choices can profoundly influence how we feel, relate and experience the world.
Whether it's how we engage with technology, what and how we eat, how we move our bodies, the rituals we create or where we place our attention, these everyday experiences shape what it means to be human.
I don't believe technology is the problem. In many ways, it is one of the most extraordinary tools we have ever created.
The opportunity lies in learning how to live well inside the world we're creating, using technology intentionally while protecting our wellbeing, creativity, attention and human connection.
A central idea in my work is that pleasure is intelligence. Far from being frivolous, pleasure can be a powerful source of information, helping us notice what nourishes us, reconnect with what matters and become more present in our own lives.
Why This Matters
We are living through a period of extraordinary technological and cultural change. Artificial intelligence, social media, digital platforms and emerging technologies are influencing how we communicate, work, learn, shop, eat and build relationships.
Yet for all this change, our fundamental human needs remain remarkably consistent.
We still crave belonging. We still seek meaning. We still want connection, community and experiences that make us feel alive.
My work is interested in the space between these two realities: how we embrace the possibilities of modern life without losing touch with what makes us human.
Through my writing, speaking, experiences and the ideas behind Live Life Yummie, I explore how we can live with greater pleasure, presence, intention and connection, online and offline.
Because ultimately, I don't think living well is about escaping modern life.
It's about learning how to live fully inside it.
My Mission
My mission is to help people live with more joy, presence and connection in a hyperconnected world.
I don't believe technology is the problem. The opportunity lies in learning how to use it in ways that support wellbeing, creativity, connection and human flourishing.
A central idea in my work is that pleasure is intelligence. Far from being frivolous, pleasure can be a powerful guide, helping us notice what nourishes us, reconnect with what matters and become more present in our own lives.
Because when we live with intention, pleasure and joy, we don't just get through life. We create lives that feel richer, more connected and more deeply human.
That's what it means to Live Life Yummie.
